ATTENTION: Court mail service fees for mailing physical copies of court documents through the U.S. Postal Service will rise starting July 14. The new rates will match recent increases to mailing fees made by the USPS itself. These changes are only for physical mail service and do not affect electronic service of documents.

The new fees include:

  • Standard envelope (1-4 pages) - $1.05
  • Large envelope (5-9 pages) - $2.40
  • Large envelope (10-25 pages) - $5.55
  • Large envelope (26-50 pages) - $10.75
  • Certified mail (small claims service only) - $10.10
  • Restricted delivery (optional; small claims service only) - $12.75
  • Registered mail - $18.60
Clean Slate Act

Petition to Shield Records from Public Disclosure (Idaho Supreme Court Website)

Starting Jan. 1, 2024, the Clean Slate Act will allow people convicted of certain nonviolent, non-assaultive offenses to ask a court to shield their cases from public view. The Clean Slate Act can be found in Idaho Code section 67-3004(11).

On July 17, 2019 all Idaho Legal Aid offices and hotlines can be reached by calling one statewide number: 208-746-7541. Calling the old numbers will automatically forward callers to the new statewide number.
